Minor Moral Victory

The kids are off of school today, and I went to the gym anyway. Woo Hoo! And I got weighed - 2.5lbs lost this week. And that includes a week that had a lot of struggling both with food choices and portion control. Yeah, I would have lost more if I'd done better, but my goal was 2-3 lbs. So woo hoo!

The bad news is, because I lost weight while still cheating left and right, that feels like license to cheat. If I can keep it under control, that's ok. If I get too lax, that's a bad thing.

That's wonderful about reaching your goal. I agree, I have trouble staying good if I reached a goal without being so disciplined. I hope you can use next week to be better though and just take it a day or week at a time. Congratulations again!

The thing is to trick yourself into thinking about it in the right way. Instead of, "Hey I can cheat and still lose" think "Hey, if I lost while I was cheating think of how much more I could lose when I don't cheat!" Spin baby, spin.
