Biggest Loser

I feel like I should preface this with "I'm not dead yet!" because it's been so long since I posted. It's been a mixed summer - I've gained back some weight, not as much as I had thought, but more than I hoped. I'm getting back into going to the gym regularly, which should help. Routine helps - I'm very bad about mindless eating when we're just hanging out around the house. Although given how badly I've binged and the crap that I've eaten, I don't feel too bad about the weight gain. Not like it was a surprise.

I've signed up for the Biggest Loser competition at the gym again. Based on last years experience, I could win this time. But I did it in the spring and didn't take it seriously. Feeling more motivated now. If I can really focus on the eating plan, I know the weight will come off - I just have to maintain focus. And I'm going to try to add in some other exercise as well. Last time was only Curves, now I hope to add some aerobic something on other days as well.

Anybody else feeling motivated with the new school year?

Motivation is good!
I had a little bit of motivation right at the start...and then got swamped. I need to get back under control with schedule and organization (which is my real issue).

I managed to stay static this summer, but I've started watching what I eat (I refuse to diet) and am trying to exercise some more.

The new school year has me motivated to get with a new healthier routine, but the stress-level at work and home is making it look really tough. If I could just get myself to exercise more, which is good for the stress, I'd be excited.

I agree, the summer lack of routine got me into some bad eating habits, and since the second triathlon I think I went running once. I am hoping that the routine of the school year will get the gym onto the schedule and some additional exercise will follow.

I also agree that the lack of routine gets me eating like a pig. (Do pigs eat a lot of junk food?) Perhaps I'll join weight-watchers and try to take off some pounds, too. I definitely gained back a couple in the last month or so.
